Ham-Stuffed Challah Bread

What's better than French toast? A French toast sandwich packed with sliced Sara Lee Maple Honey Ham, melted cheese and raspberry preserves. Every meal just became breakfast!

What you need
2 slices day-old challah bread, sliced 3/4-inch thick
3 eggs
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tbsp. honey
1/2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tbsp. grape seed or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. raspberry preserves
3 slices baby swiss cheese
powdered sugar, to taste
How to Make it
1.Beat eggs, milk, vanilla extract, salt, and honey together in a medium bowl
2.Dip bread slices in egg mixture and submerge until bread is covered
3.Heat butter and oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat
4.Cook bread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown
5.Assemble sandwich quickly; spread raspberry preserves on one slice of bread
6.Top with cheese, ham, and a remaining slice of bread
7.Remove from heat and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste
8.Place in a warm oven until cheese melts
